A bit late on the update...

I'm engaged. Man, that feels good to say. I have been blessed with the special opportunity to spend the rest of my life with the man I love. He's my best friend, my rock, and my everything. Whenever I consider the people that I associate myself with, honesty and loyalty are two of my biggest things I require out of my people. I'm so fortunate as to be marrying a man who holds many of the same values that I do- we don't always agree on everything, but for the big stuff that counts, we are two peas in a pod.

Lauren Graviett, I'm going to text you to make sure you see this update because you are getting your own section. I love you. You are my best frannn and the only person I want following me around making sure I have table skirts for my wedding... Because we all know how I feel about table skirts and other things that I don't consider in my every day life as important. lol. But for real, I wouldn't make it without you and Eli keeping tabs on me, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for it. Some days I don't feel like it's worth putting up with a sea of fake people to make sure the chapter is being ran... You make sure I'm doing my job anyway. Thank you. Thank thank thank you. Again, I love you.... And Spring Break- It's on.

"Today I don't feel like doing anything, I just wanna lay in my bed..."

*le sigh* The end of Christmas vacation is here and tomorrow marks my return to reality- Work, re-doing that blasted paper (grrrrrrrrrr), and never ending errands.

Say what you want to, but there isn't anything quite like returning home for a couple of days to make you realize how much you miss your old life sometimes, and remind you of why things are different now. I miss my parents every day I'm not at home, but I'm so used to living on my own that coming home and staying for several days is always an adventure. Makes me wonder if this happens to everyone over time.

Santa visited! Santa visited! He left me a new Nikon S4000, so expect photo updates soon... he also left me several sweaters, jeans, a couple of nice clothing items, DVDs, and one sad little iPod adapter that wouldn't work in my car (remedied today). Oh, not to mention cash... which will be used to aid my oil change in the morning and probably getting my hair cut. =)

I have been suckered into going on Greek Retreat at the beginning of January. Am I excited? As much as I can be. Hesitant about being stuck out in God's country with a bunch of people I don't know well, and a few sisters? You bet. I should be blogging again before then, with more information in the event that I need someone to venture out into the wilderness and find me.

Work is work, as normal. I want to be uber rich and running a puppy farm where I can have a little horde of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Oh, and did I mention not working wanky hours because of my school schedule? Yeah, that.

McLintock! is on. Oh John Wayne, it's between you and Brad Pitt for my favorite Sigma Chi. No seriously, you don't understand. My extended family has three normal topics of discussion when together at gatherings: Alabama football, Jesus, and John Wayne. This is a way of life for my family and it is one I hold very dearly.

Speaking of fraternities... before I say one word about ADPi, I have a small rant to go off on. Turn away now if you think totalfratmove.com is the way things are supposed to be. *ahem*
That website makes us look like a bunch of disengaged drunken miscreants that don't deserve to wear the letters we are representing. Since when aren't we allowed to have our own opinions about the way things are? I'm Greek. I'm a Democrat. I'm feminist to an extent. I don't think I'm better than anyone else. Don't like it? Well, tough cookies. That's my opinion, not yours. That site does NOTHING but turn away people who would be good for our organizations and fuel everyone's fire that we are useless to society. Thanks. *end rant*

Now, to my loves: Alpha Delta Pi. I'm on fire for you and for Zeta Eta chapter. I want to see us be the best us we can be. We aren't the same 26 member chapter we were- we are strong. I'm hoping the next semester will reunite us and show everyone what we can do. Step Sing is going to be BOSS, and I couldn't be more thrilled about the upcoming year. I'm excited about executive and what we can do together if we work together. I'm excited that my bestfraan is our social chair- I have NO DOUBT she is going to get schtick done. I hope to serve our chapter and be the best president I can be, and please have no doubt I'm going to work my hiney off to do so.

Elijah Dalton: We are quickly approaching 2 solid years of dating- quite happily. He's my best friend and the person I'm going to be spending my life with and I couldn't be happier about it. This year is going to hold a few changes for us- exciting, happy changes that will help us grow both individually and in our relationship with each other. =D

NEWW YEAAAAARS EEEEEEVE... This girl is ready. Not for the 8AM shift on the 1st, but for the night itself? Heck yeah!

Well... that's about it. Toodles. =D

AHHHHH... End quote.

Dear Semester from the Depths of Hades Itself:
Go away. I'm tired of you. I'm tired of the pointless classes I was duped into signing up for and the multitude of papers I have to have finished by next week. I just want to sleep, spend time with my fraaaaans, and sleep some more.

This whole work thing with finals going on isn't working for me either. Not that I'm narcissistic, but I've been trying to convince my parents that I'm entirely too pretty to work. (Bahaha, I know right?)

Women's Studies is nearly over and my graduation application will be in as of the beginning of next week... And next semester is 15 hours of classes that I'm okay with being in and the CAAP exam. Two semesters more... Just two.

On the other hand, I'm anticipating elections this weekend and being voted in as President of ADPi. I'm not dumb enough to believe that everyone is as excited to see me in the position as I am to be in it, I just hope I can do the job and our chapter justice. I'm going to give it my all, because that's the only way I know how to do it. I'm so thrilled, I'll get to attend National Convention in June... In Phoenix. =D

I love Elijah Dalton. He makes me happy. =)

Updates for the sake of updates.

I work. I go to school. I sleep. Yep. Occasionally, I get to see my boyfriend and sisters. That's life, I've been told. My mother informed me that, this was the way of life. We live to work... Which is the most utterly depressing thing I've ever considered. What is the point of life if we are stuck working to meet some end for years and years, until one day you wake up and you're elderly, sick, and tired? That's never been something that is even remotely appealing. I mean, I realize I'm in college in hopes that I won't have to slave away to meet ends meet at some job that I hate, but gah. That's where I'm sitting right now.

Happy? Sure, I'm happy enough.

Yep, until later.

Soo... Yeah.

Well ladies and gentlemen... Formal Recruitment is over. This has been the cause of a LOT of unnecessary stress over the last 4 months or so... Thank God it's over. A lot of people complained about how tired they were- try me. I haven't had a break from ADPi since April. Literally. If someone decided to help, I let them. What else could I do? I was tired, stressed, behind on school, and stuck working at a job that I detest. I do what I can, but after that, I have to have help. I'm only one woman and Lord knows I'm not superwoman.

On the other end, I was awaiting a big burst of relief at the thought of it all being over... it was rather anticlimactic actually. It's over, we have beautiful amazing Alphas who are going to do wonderful things for this chapter... and I still feel very little relief. It could be because I have a LOT of paperwork left. It could be because I smile too much or wear too much pink... Either way, I have no interest in hearing your life story... (Just kidding on that last part, a bit of True Blood humor for my homies... and I know you exist.)

I HATE DIETING. IT SUCKS. I JUST WANT TO BE SKINNY AGAIN AND ABLE TO EAT AS I PLEASE. (End rant.)

What would I do without my Elijah? The answer is- Not much. Even though I'm suffering from a serious case of "down in the dumps" he is taking care of me as much as he knows how. He surprises me with Alabama attire and Fro-Yo and reminds me everyday that he loves me... And I love him for it. Seriously, this boy is my own personal Saving Grace most days. One day, we are getting married and getting a mastiff and a King Charles Spaniel... Until then, we will be content to just be together.

On happier notes: I HAVE MY LAUREN BACK!!! =D I also have a beautiful new diamond sister... Can you say do-over? Amelia is beautiful, sweet as pie, and adorable. Chartering banquet is coming up and I'm STOKED. My dress is perfection.

Until later.

"And there's nothing cold as ashes after the fire is gone."

Ahh, Conway and Loretta. No truer words have been spoken. I sit here typing this blog, feeling drained, defeated, and downright down.

I don't understand why I'm feeling this defeated. I don't want to. I want to be a happy person who just wants to paint, raise puppies, and ride off in the sunset with good 'ol Prince Charming.

I also just wanted a fabulous recruitment with no issues. Bah, that was a nice dream back at DLC when I got conned into taking the job. Now here we are: I have a week. Less than a week, a week from yesterday. I'm being forced to make decisions that go against my better judgement because it's "for the best". Great. I'm a very analytical person. I analyze every aspect of what COULD happen if a particular decision is made- and there is a good chance I'll be right about it. I'm very empathetic and I'm emotional, but that's what makes me good at what I do. I have a ton of creative energy that has been all but depleted. I can't even paint right now. In lieu of my previous positivity, I'm just counting down the days till Bid Day... At which point I'm on vacation.

In other news.... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. No, seriously. Stop it. You are ruining your life. You're an idiot, and so is he for asking. And no one rushes into a decision like that without extenuating circumstances. Ever. End of rant.

Yep.

Happy Medium.... And a change of medium?

So... I'm one week into my "lifestyle change". I'm going to lose 50 lbs- You watch, I can do it. The hardest part is this whole diet change causing emotional changes... I hate being on cloud nine one minute and feeling like I'm in a hole the next. That's not my personality and I don't want to be that way. Here's to hoping I will find my happy medium here soon and be SEXAHY for Delta Chi's chartering banquet next month. =)

I'm also suffering from an art block, if you will. I can't force myself to paint and I want to so so badly. I don't feel like I have any inspiration. I have an art business I want to run, and if I can't find the inspiration to paint, then there's no business right? I'm thinking I need a change of medium for a while. I'm going to switch to oil pastels for a bit and see if I can bring a bit of inspiration back. That will give me the ability to sketch and draw, rather than just painting and hoping for a good turn out.

I'm SO TIRED of wedding season and hearing that people are looking at rings, getting engaged, and wedding dress shopping! SO SO SO Tired! Ugh. Give the rest of us a break! Don't you think that I want to be ring shopping and dress shopping and planning a fabulously little beach wedding that I'm only having limited attendance at? Well mark my words- it's coming. It may not be happening as fast as I want, and that's probably for the best. After all 1/2 of all marriages end in divorce... And I don't want to be another statistic like some of these people will.

The last rant for the day? I"M SO TIRED OF BEING BROKE! ASDFJKL;! Why why why? Why is it that I work so hard and get NOWHERE?! Wanna know why? MINIMUM WAGE. That's why.

Let's go happy. I'm going to name 5 reasons I'm happy today.

1. Eli Cockrum and Kristin Teat
2. Fresh oranges. =)
3. I fixed a toilet all by myself. =)
4. KATIE'S COMING HOME!
5. PAArty this weekend? Absolutely.

Britt

I have found something that annoys me more than rabid Twilight fans and Justin Bieber rolled in ranch dressing.

Now if you are wondering what has gotten my shorts in a knot, then read on. If you have issue with religious rants, go find another fluffier blog that I have written, there are several. I have had the misfortune of looking at Westboro Baptist Church's bevy of webpages, blogs, and twitter pages. If you don't know who they are, go find out for yourself or PM me, as one of their lawyers might try to sue me for telling you what they actually are. It's not nice. A few notes as to why my annoyance started and then proceeded to grow...

These people picket funerals of DEAD SOLDIERS. The men and women who have died keeping US safe. And they have the audacity to do so with signs proclaiming that God hates everybody (pretty much the jist). I have too many family members in the military to be okay with that... if one of them showed up to a funeral that I was at, it would be ugly. Promise.

They apparently have nothing better to do than to hate EVERYONE... and say that God does too. Urm. No. John 3:16 and 17 states: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." When you get down to the heart of salvation, this is a commonly used verse. And it's so true. God hates sin, not people. To twist the words of the Bible around to fit your own personal hate campaign is not only heinous, but it turns people FROM God, not to Him. Another bothersome issue is that in their videos that "state the meaning of their signs", they feel the need to use profanity in conjunction with God's name. Now, don't mistake me for being undereducated. "Cuss" words are words that have been deemed by MAN to be ugly. Not by the Big Man Upstairs. However, I don't feel like God particularly likes the use of the F-bomb and calling people sluts in His name. Hrm.

As a member of a Baptist church, I detest that these people attempt to associate themselves with us. I have never ever sat through a sermon that condones using the F word and carrying around signs that say things like "God Hates Fags" and "God Hates You" while trampling flags and making music videos (?!). ASDFJKL;

So, all that being said, you people have nothing better to do than picket Lady Gaga and say that Justin Bieber is bad? Seriously, Biebs? He's like 10. He's harmless.

Now, if what you believe is true, then what I'm about to say doesn't matter... I pray for you people. I pray for those who are blinded by your ignorant and hateful beliefs. I pray that no more people are and that you don't turn people away from His word because of your evils.

I promise, I'll post something fluffier and happy tomorrow or the next day, I feel like all of that needed to be said.

Motion Sickness... You Spin Me Right Round

It's 10:35 on Sunday evening and I feel the need to blog. This is the first blog actually written in my apartment, so I feel pretty accomplished... But that's probably due to the ballin grill I put together all by myself. That's right, Eli didn't help, he just hung around and watched True Blood. Which is ok. I was in work mode and didn't need help.

True Blood tonight= =O =O =O <-- Brittany's mind is officially blown. I'm going to have to rewatch that thing in order to wrap my head around it.

For the sisters that care, I mentioned that I might have good news once I got back from Gatlinburg... and I don't. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up, Lord knows mine were, but it's A-OK.

I have been motion sick 10923847120398473 times in the last 72 hours and I am RIGHT NOW. Catch: I'M NOT MOVING. There is NO MOTION affecting me. ASDFJKL;

I got a new swimsuit, a peace sign towel, a shirt from a legal moonshinery, a stuffed beaver, and a sparkly coffee cup. =)

I convinced Kristin to write out the memoirs of her life. I even titled it: A Life of Cream Cheese- The Memoirs of Kristin Teat. I'm starting to think I should write my own... And it's going to be called ASDFJKL;

Until Later. =)

ASDFJKL;

Mountains are great. Not much else to say right now. TTYS.

These are a few of my least favorite things...

I'm really trying here folks. At this late hour, for your reading pleasure... Some of my LEAST favorite things!

1. Having to do the mad dash from Eli and Bo's bathroom to the closet where the toilet paper is hidden, hoping that no one decides to come upstairs...

2. Children screaming at work because their parents are too lazy to discipline them. Instead they buy them a toy, WHICH EGGS THIS BEHAVIOR ON! You aren't supposed to positively reinforce this kind of behavior, that's how serial killers are made.

3. Working just to pay rent and bills, with little to no fun moneys left over. Dear refund check, get here soon, Love B.

4. Kristen Stewart. Yes, she gets her own number, my dislike of her is that great. She has ONE FACIAL EXPRESSION! This is my happy face *snarl*, this is my disgruntled face *snarl*, this is my lovey dovey face *snarl*. AHHHHHH. She's like Keanu Reeves, but not hot.

5. Being ignored for hours/nights on end because the boys are nerding. I want to nerd, but I can't... BECAUSE APPARENTLY GIRLS AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH TO NERD. *grumble*

6. People who feel the need to be outrageous because their parents didn't give them enough attention. Get over it. Grow up. Eventually, you're going to regret those horns you had modified into your head. Stupid.

7. See, there are these other groups on our campus... and right now, as recruitment for our group, I find myself cringing everytime one of these other groups are mentioned... and there are days when I'd like to blow them up. All three.

8. Being tired. I go into infant mode. Like, whining, fussy, and about to cry.

9. Bob Saget as anything but the dad on Full House. I don't need to know that you're a foul mouthed dirty old man, let me keep my happy memories of Danny Tanner please. Please?

10. People who get mad because I have to scan their drivers license to buy wine and beer. Spare me the whining, just get it out and let me take care of business. You don't want to be stuck here with me any more than I do. (lolz)

11. Redneck hicks. ASDFJKL;. You people make those of us who are educated Southerners look like idiots! Grrrr! Stop it! Read a book (or get Hooked on Phonics), find something to do with your life other than driving a big truck, wearing rebel flag memorabilia, and groping your redneck woman in public. It's gross.

12. Aqua Teen Hunger Force- Unless you are high, I'm convinced this show has no purpose.

13. Squirrels. Suicidal little rodents. Stop running in front of my car! And while you're at it, when on campus, if I go to throw something away, DON'T SIT ON THE TRASH CAN AND STARE ME DOWN! It's weird.

14. Those select ladies who choose to conduct themselves inappropriately in public and make my whole sorority look bad. Stop it. Seriously. The more you make us look bad, the worse our reputation gets. I love you. I really do. Stand up, be responsible for yourself.

15. Twi-Tards. ...Go find yourselves a nice hobby. Hopefully nothing to do with sharp things. AND STAY AWAY FROM TRUE BLOOD!

16. HEADACHES... Ow ow ow ow owowowowowow....

17. Dieting. I'm doing it. And I hate it. It sucks. End of rant.

18. Seeing itty bitty wittle girls who are getting engagement rings and having babies when Eli and I are having to have enough common sense to wait. Yes, it makes me jealous. I want the pretty ring and the fuss over a wedding... The pretty ring is coming. However, I seriously doubt either one of us will fuss over a wedding. My mom won't, his mom won't. So we win.

19. A certain best friend's constant negativity when his girlfriend isn't around. Seriously, it will be ok. I promise.

20. Being licked in the face. It's icky. Yes, Eli. I'm talking to you. And being drooled on for that matter. It stains your clothes. Icky.

...I'm sure there are more, but I'm tired. Night all!

Optimism Wins Again.

So, my last post was pretty... Sad. Yeah. ON a happier note, I'm doing pretty good with this whole eating better and exercising situation. And I don't have a back shelf.

Bo hit me in the face and is now making the most annoying sound on the planet. We might have been brother and sister in another life.

Gatlinburg is two weeks awaaaaay. I have ridiculously good news, but it can wait.

Workshop with the gals is next weekend... =D =D =D

Motivation.

So, for those who don't know this random fact, I used to be a skinny... well, I used to be skinny. If you see a random photo from around Thanksgiving of 07, I was almost Skeletor due to the fact that my first serious love had broken up with me and the stress from the weeks before and the time after caused me to drop weight like NOTHING. Truthfully, at that time I didn't look healthy in the least. Fast forward to ONE year later and I have put on quite a bit of weight. ASDFJKL;, if this is what the combination of stress and poor diet do to me, I quit. Fast forward to now, even heavier. ASDFJKL;. Lets be real. I eat 2 meals a day, and usually one small snack. I don't drink that much soda and I work a LOT. The problem? I'm assuming it's the lack of depression, or the lack of exercise. I'm too happy to be depressed. At this point, it's the lack of physical activity. I know it is, I'm not even playing. I'm now making a solemn vow to eat even better and to start exercising. Tomorrow. Whenever I have time, I'm going to work in 1 hour a day. I want to be that skinny... Well, a skinnier, HEALTHIER girl again.

My Dirty Confession... This won't end well.

So... I did it. I went and saw Eclipse. Don't mock me, I'm not proud of it in the least. Kristen Stewart is a terrible actress and Bella Swan is a total Mary Sue. Edward sparkles, but I could be a fan girl for Rob, I dig his constantly dirty look. People, vampires are not supposed to sparkle. And Taylor Lautner is only useful when his shirt is off and his mouth is shut.

That being said, Eclipse was the best of the movies so far. There I said it. Now for my happiness in the situation... *drumroll*

THE NEW HARRY POTTER TRAILER AIRED!!!! **fangirl mode engaged** ZOMG, It looks freaking fantastic, and guess when the first one comes out? 6 days after my birthday... YAAAAAAY! =D

Now that I have regained dignity, let the wedding chaos ensue!

Those little things that make it all worthwhile...

So if I had any worries about recruitment, they have been silenced for the moment. Everything is falling into place as gracefully as it possibly can right now and I'm so thankful. This wouldn't be possible without my Sisters. They worked so so hard this weekend and I couldn't be any prouder of them if I wanted to. We spent one night having open forum and just talking about what was bothering us and planning ways to change these things and I think it helped the mood of the weekend a LOT. I love these women more than I could ever describe in one blog.

Alpha Delta Pi is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It helped me turn my college career around, and my life for that matter. I have the best friends I could ever ask for. I'm thankful. Haters are going to hate, but it doesn't matter- We're the best sorority on UNA's campus. Quote me on it. Don't agree? Your opinion probably doesn't matter.

That being said, Katie and I had a great bonding experience as well this weekend. She's an amazing amazing person and I love her. She's probably one of the best friends I have ever had.

Love life, love my sisters, love my man... It's all good. =)

More random facts about oneself.

Hey guyyyys, just thought I'd deliver more fun facts about myself, so that you have no excuse to say you don't know me.

1. I love all sodas declared cherry flavored, just don't ask me to eat anything with actual cherries in it.
2. I'm one of Lady Gaga's "Little Monsters". I heart her. She's beautiful and a very talented artist.
3. My favorite colors are pink, black, white, and yellow.
4. I have the highest GPA that I have had since I have been in school and I have NO intention of letting it go now.
5. My toenails are always painted. Usually in some variance of pink or red. Right now it's this GORGEOUS color that is right in the middle called "Tropical Punch". Thanks Kristin. lol
6. I have been effectively kicked out of the nest according to my father. Wonder how long it's going to last...
7. Jolly Rancher fruit chews are great.
8. I'm very touchy about being ignored for video games. It bugs the crap out of me.
9. I am not a Gleek and I do not have Beiber fever. Nor am I a Twi-Tard.
10. Some of my favorite days are vent days with Lauren. We both feel better after those usually.
11. I don't think Person B understands that I'm not jealous of his relationship, I'm tired of feeling alienated. There is a humongous difference between those two things.
12. Target is just a means for rent. That's it. I'm so so so tired of cashiering.
13. If I had my way about it, I'd be living la vie boheme and just painting and loving my man. That's it. However, that's not possible.
14. I just found one of the girls in my W.S. program in "The Hard Times" for domestic violence ohhhmygahhhh.... That's redundant to feminism in general. Which I am. Feminist that is. Just not Femnazi. Those are annoying.
15. I could TOTALLY amuse myself trolling for stupids on the internet. I have a life however.

That's all. =)

Hippie Chic Art Co.

Yep. I did it. I'm now an artist for hire. Excited? Darn skippy I am. I'd be perfectly happy living my life doing nothing but loving my man and family and making art. THAT is why it's named Hippie Chic. It's Chic... and it's made by a modern, hugs-not-drugs hippie.

http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?aid=243214&id=668157500&ref=mf

The temp album where you can view what I have photos of thus far. I've done more, tracking them all down is the tricky part. There will be a facebook group soon. I know this is a long shot, but I have decided what I want, I believe it can happen, I'm in the process of taking action, and I'll give thanks and praise as I go. =)

"Take me home tonight... Be my little baby"

Eddie Money, anyone?

Here's to another night of just trying to catch up on rest. I got off work at 8 pm after a hellacious shift. Note: If you open a checking account, make sure to keep some money out for yourself- you will inevitably end up sans cash and unable to access any of it until you get your debit card in. Guess who will be visiting the bank in the morning?

I have to finish ADPi's BEAUTIFUL trifold for the first S.O.A.R. session of the year. I'm nervous about Formal Recruitment approaching, but I'm also determined that we are going to do well if I can get all the girls to buckle down and do what they're supposed to do. That's a big "if" though.

Uncle Steve's funeral was a beautiful memorial to his memory. He was a fantastic person who was the same person in church as he was in life- a good Christian man and he was very very loved. He and my Aunt were so in love- I aspire to have that degree of love with Eli.

I really hate South Park. It's so hard to change the channel though!

Eh, I had a laundry list to blog about, and forgot most of it. Will post again soon. =)

Just let her cry...If the tears fall down like rain...

In answer to the questions that will be floating through your heads as you read the title: No, I'm not crying. I have Hootie and the Blowfish stuck in my head. Thanks iPod. Thanks.

For those who know the back story, my uncle passed away Sunday morning. I'm very saddened, but because of my background and beliefs I know he's okay now. John 3:16- "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." Rest easy Uncle Steve, you're way better off than we are here.

I'm not an easily bothered person for the most part, but upon noticing a post that one of my younger cousins placed upon Facebook, I was prompted to write about it. She's singing in the choir at Steve's funeral tomorrow, and she's excited about it- complete with a "YAY!". Urm, inappropriate kiddo. I don't know about you, but when the family is in pain over a loss, I'm not going to be publicly YAAAYing about singing at the funeral. Ever.

My precious boyfriend is sitting next to me playing on a DS and watching me type this so that he can edit as I go. He won't allow me to publicly post what game he is playing. I'm being accused of being a "meeeean butt"... but I thought I was being very nice in calling him precious. ...Random, I know, but you'd just have to know us. Some couples get annoyed by each other, I quite enjoy having him around 24/7 when we aren't working. Part of that is probably the fact that he's my best friend and his presence makes me feel complete. I love the kid, he makes me lol.

Operation Jersey Shore is well underway with a nice tan forming. Now if I can get myself settled into a diet that doesn't leave me feeling sad and wanting of chocolate, I'll be doing much better. Now to work on that fist pumping action... (btw, not really. Snooki is best left in Jersey, where she belongs.)

I received a free copy of Alice in Wonderland today for getting 4 credits at work. This makes me happy. =) It will never happen again. lol

You better hang on if you're tagging along...Cause we'll be doing this till 6 in the morning...

'Lo all. Summer has begun and I've moved into the apartment (FINALLY). (FYI, all of my side thoughts are going into parenthesis.) Everything is going pretty well thus far: Target is working me like a slave. (That's fine, I need the money). Eli and Bo are living together. (Two of my favorite people under the same roof, what could possibly go wrong?) I'm on a diet and tanning. (Ow ow ow sunburn.) Vacation, summer workshops, and Em's wedding are all set and I'm counting days. (Gatlinburg, TN: I don't think my family is capable of going anywhere else and workshops should be a blast...) I'm not overly inspired to write today, but I felt like I need to do an update so that it doesn't get lost like my MySpace...(Not that I still use it, the only people that I was keeping up with all got a Facebook to save me the trouble.)

Eli and I both working has created an interesting situation- We don't work enough of the same shifts to see each other except at night after he gets off work and in the morning. It's not a huge issue, it's just one of those things we are having to work through. Believe me, it won't slow us down. We are both too hardheaded to let something like work or even a summer apart hurt our relationship- It just makes it stronger. And feeling the inspiration coming on, I have to thank a couple of people... To the three exs before Eli.

To the two crappiest men I have ever had the misfortune of knowing- Thanks to the both of you for making me appreciate the good ones. Between the manipulation, alcoholism, verbal and emotional abuse, cheating, and lies the two of you had more than enough power to bring me down and make me feel like I wouldn't be worthy of REAL love. I never loved either of you- One of you was just a pathetic attempt to get over the only other good boyfriend I've had, and the other was a product of my low self esteem. Guess what? Neither of you were man enough to break me.

And to the only other good boyfriend I've had: Mr. Benefield, you were an awesome boyfriend until the very end. You are a good, good person and I like that we are still friends now. We didn't have one bad moment until we went our separate ways and I don't hold one bit of ill feeling for you at all. I wish all of the best for you in everything you do- believe me, you deserve it.

That's all for now. Deuces!
