I have found something that annoys me more than rabid Twilight fans and Justin Bieber rolled in ranch dressing.

Now if you are wondering what has gotten my shorts in a knot, then read on. If you have issue with religious rants, go find another fluffier blog that I have written, there are several. I have had the misfortune of looking at Westboro Baptist Church's bevy of webpages, blogs, and twitter pages. If you don't know who they are, go find out for yourself or PM me, as one of their lawyers might try to sue me for telling you what they actually are. It's not nice. A few notes as to why my annoyance started and then proceeded to grow...

These people picket funerals of DEAD SOLDIERS. The men and women who have died keeping US safe. And they have the audacity to do so with signs proclaiming that God hates everybody (pretty much the jist). I have too many family members in the military to be okay with that... if one of them showed up to a funeral that I was at, it would be ugly. Promise.

They apparently have nothing better to do than to hate EVERYONE... and say that God does too. Urm. No. John 3:16 and 17 states: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." When you get down to the heart of salvation, this is a commonly used verse. And it's so true. God hates sin, not people. To twist the words of the Bible around to fit your own personal hate campaign is not only heinous, but it turns people FROM God, not to Him. Another bothersome issue is that in their videos that "state the meaning of their signs", they feel the need to use profanity in conjunction with God's name. Now, don't mistake me for being undereducated. "Cuss" words are words that have been deemed by MAN to be ugly. Not by the Big Man Upstairs. However, I don't feel like God particularly likes the use of the F-bomb and calling people sluts in His name. Hrm.

As a member of a Baptist church, I detest that these people attempt to associate themselves with us. I have never ever sat through a sermon that condones using the F word and carrying around signs that say things like "God Hates Fags" and "God Hates You" while trampling flags and making music videos (?!). ASDFJKL;

So, all that being said, you people have nothing better to do than picket Lady Gaga and say that Justin Bieber is bad? Seriously, Biebs? He's like 10. He's harmless.

Now, if what you believe is true, then what I'm about to say doesn't matter... I pray for you people. I pray for those who are blinded by your ignorant and hateful beliefs. I pray that no more people are and that you don't turn people away from His word because of your evils.

I promise, I'll post something fluffier and happy tomorrow or the next day, I feel like all of that needed to be said.
